No Sign of our I797

I was sincerely hoping that this piece of paper from the USCIS would come in this week before we left for vacation…sigh…I stalked the mailman everyday which only seemed to result in him coming later and later…it is a conspiracy! Steven suggested we cancel our vacation and wait this week to get the paper (after we get it, we have to send it to the Secretary of State and to the Chinese Consulate for authentication before we can send our full dossier to China). But, that was a NO GO! I still wanted to go sit on the beach and be a bum for a week without a care in the world! I already have two beach themed mini scrapbook albums waiting to be filled with vacation photos! So, hopefully, when we get back next week that famed piece of paper will be waiting on us and we can continue our process….sigh. It is THE LAST piece of paperwork I need in order to submit our full dossier to China for them to formally approve us to adopt Alex. Why does the last piece always take the longest?!

I may or may not check in from the beach. Chances are I will have my nose buried in a book, or I will be busy making sand castles with Vivian. Sometimes, when I am really feeling adventurous, I take a swim in the ocean. So, in the words of my favorite bouncy character, Tigger, TTFN!
