Two In Home Visits

We have completed two in home visits for our home study.  The State of Louisiana requires two in home.  We are to meet our social worker on February 4th for the third meeting and the fourth and last required meeting will be scheduled shortly thereafter (I am assuming).

So far, so good.  We are very excited to be almost finished with our Dossier.  Once we get our Home Study, I will send everything off to the Secretary of State and on to the Consulate.  We will also apply with USCIS at that time, to get our fingerprinting rolling.

So many details.  Even though it seems like a lot, Steven and I have looked at each other these last few days and have come to the conclusion that preparing the Dossier ourselves was really not that big of a deal.  It could have gotten ugly if we would not have been able to obtain all of the documents, or if things were lost in the mail.  However, everything has been smooth sailing and the certification people in Georgia and Louisiana have been awesome.

I have some really cute pictures of Vivian tidying up for our home study…those will get posted in the next day or two.  I found her pushing a huge dust mop through the hall!  Lol…it was three times bigger than her.  She was just so happy to help do something.

It is rainy and dreary outside…bleh!  I dislike January….my least favorite month.
